Travel Soccer
Our travel program is for 3rd grade and up.
We play in the CMYSL (Central Mass Youth Soccer League) travel league. Each team has four home and four away games. Games are played throughout Central MA, with most of the away games within a 40 minute drive.
CMYSL has a few divisions within each age group ranging from competitive to a recreation level. Travel teams are grouped in 2 year age bands by school grades set by CMYSL. We host tryouts to ensure that the kids are placed appropriately based on their abilities to have the best experience possible.
This will help to have all our players playing at a level comfortable for them and help them develop. With the growth and development of our players and league in mind, teams and players will be reevaluated between each season based on skill development.
Tryouts are held in June/July each year. Information on tryouts are emailed to all BMYSO members and as well, posted on our web page. There are no fees for trying out, the fees are due when a player is placed on a team.
Games are played according to the CMYSL schedule on Saturdays.
No travel players will be allowed on the field until their fees are paid in full.
Players can commit to fall only but priority is given to players who commit to both fall and spring.
Travel Uniforms
The official travel uniform consists of a Purple & White jersey, Shorts and Socks. It's customized with:
• BMYSO logo on front
• Player’s number on back
The cost of the uniform is additional to the registration fee for Travel soccer.
Players are responsible for their shin guards and cleats. Shin guards and cleats are mandatory. Players should also have their own ball, 3rd through 6th grade uses size 4 and 7th and up uses size 5.
ALL UNIFORM purchases for travel soccer will go through the Think Local Printing.
