When does the season start?
The fall in-town season runs for eight weeks with a start date in September and end date in October. Dates coming soon.
When will I hear from the coach?
Coaches usually send an introductory e-mail a few days before opening day. If you don't hear from them, no worries! We often have to shuffle teams around and recruit coaches up to the last minute.
When are the games?
Pre-K and Kindergarten games are on Saturdays at the AFM field. No additional practices are required for this age group, only Saturdays that are 1 hour in lenth. The teams practice for 30 minutes and then play a small sided game at the end of every practice for 30 minutes.
Grades 1 and 2 practice during the week and then teams play their games on Saturdays mornings in Mendon in a 5 v 5 format (includes goalkeeper)..
Where are the practices and the games?
Practices are at the AFM field. Saturday games for grades 1 and 2 are at Mendon NEFC field (33 Cape Rd, Mendon).
Are uniforms provided by the league?
Players must purchase a reversible jersey for the games the link to purchase is provided below.
What equipment does my child need?
Shin guards and cleats are mandatory. All players need to bring a water bottle.
Can I volunteer to coach my child's team?
Absolutely! BMYSO is an all volunteer coaching staff so any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.
Do I need coaching experience to volunteer?
No, in fact if you have never played soccer you can still coach. We can help with some curriculum.
How can I help?
Finally, we are a small town, but we need all the help we can get with running the league with hundreds of players. Right now there are only a handful of us on the board. Please consider joining to help us support and grow our soccer program!
