Tryouts Monday 6/12 AND Wednesday 6/14

We have finalized the dates and times for the Fall 2023 tryouts.

As a reminder, registration is open until 6/11- please register your child so check-in goes as smoothly as possible. Our Coaching Director, in conjunction with the BMYSO board, has worked diligently on restructuring our tryouts to ensure that your child is placed on the most appropriate team for the best experience and development of them as a player.

Tryouts for both boys and girls teams are as follows:

Monday 6/12 AND Wednesday 6/14. Our rain date is scheduled for 6/15- same times.

3rd & 4th grades 5-6pm
5th & 6th grades 6-7pm
7th & 8th grades 7-8pm

Please arrive to the JFK/AFM fields 30 minutes prior to the start of your tryout time to allow for check-in, pinnie pick up and warm up. Please have your child dressed in athletic clothing, with soccer socks, shin guards, cleats and plenty of water.
Please also bring a ball.

3rd & 4th grades size 4 
5th & 6th grades size 4
7th & 8th grades size 5

When you arrive to the fields please walk towards the snack shack and check-in at the picnic table. Once check-in is complete, we will have a coach/board member bring the kids together and have a light warm up, once warm ups are complete, your child will have the opportunity to grab a quick drink of water before heading over to the first station of the tryouts. Your child will move through three stations with coaches guiding them. 

Your child will be evaluated based on various abilities, including, ball control when dribbling, performing foot skills, passing, receiving, movement off the ball, positioning, striking/finishing, attitude/effort and a few more.

Whilst we understand tryouts can be stressful, we want this to be a fun experience for all and have the leagues player development as our number one priority, which is why we have made this a two day process.
